Project Restoration was born out of a desire to engage local churches, businesses, citizens and city government with the common goal of uplifting and serving a heavily foreclosed
neighborhood. Many of these neighborhoods have been demoralized due to the neglected foreclosures and vacancies in the neighborhood. Project Restoration works to reclaim the spirit of the citizens in these areas.
On November 14, 2009, volunteers from about a dozen churches around the South Bay will assemble in the 95127 zip code area. This area is a heavily impacted foreclosure neighborhood, and our goal is to encourage and uplift that neighborhood by serving in various ways. The work will occur from approximately 9:00am until 1:00 pm. In addition, volunteers will be moving through neighborhoods, providing light landscaping services including raking, mowing, trimming and sweeping.
PROJECT RESTORATION UPDATE. Due to high cost, Beautiful Day has canceled bussing to and from the Project 95127 site for Saturday, November 14. Please arrange your own transportation to White Road Baptist Church at 480 South White Road in San Jose. Use public transportation if possible.
