Got a little love to share? Every other month, Shining Stars hosts a respite for children with special needs and their siblings. Shining Stars needs special "tenders" to love on these children and have fun with them for the evening. No experience is needed. Nurses and trained staff are there to assist. Contact Joyce Roberts 408.307.4348 or joyceconnection@aol.com for further information.

CALVARY'S YOUTH MINISTRIES REACHING OUT WITH X-CLUB
By: Andrew West

Stepping onto Union Middle School’s campus I was instantly reminded of the many highs and lows that student’s experience while navigating through the world of middle school. For the past month we have been meeting after school every Tuesday to walk through life with these students and help point them to Jesus.
We started with an empty classroom, and now each week we have the privileged of welcoming new students to the conversation. We spend time talking, eating, playing games, reading the Bible, but mostly asking questions. The students have so many questions and really want to understand who Jesus is and why that matters… and how they can get more free pizza! As we step into their world we hope to love them well and to continue the conversation as they wrestle with what it means to follow Jesus.
X-Club meets at Union Middle School every Tuesday from 2:50-4:00pm in room 5, permission slips are required, and all Union students are welcome!
