Studying the Bible is essential to our spiritual growth. When we read and reflect on God’s Word, God does something miraculous - he changes us from the inside out. For the next four weeks, Calvary Church invites you to join us as we walk this journey together and dig deeper into God’s Word.

BEGINNING SUNDAY, MARCH 8TH:

Sunday Morning Services
We encourage everyone to attend one of our 9:00am worship services. Traditional Worship Services will be held in the Large Chapel and Contemporary Worship Services in the Worship Center. A 10:45am service will be held in the Worship Center with live music and video sermon feed.

Bible Study Learning Experience with Bob & Nellie Thomas
Beginning Sunday, Pastor Bob and Nellie Thomas will lead a special learning session in the Family Life Center Gym during the 10:45am worship hour. For four weeks, we will explore specific ways to learn more and grow through God’s Word.

Personal Growth
As we approach the Easter season, we want to challenge you to read God’s Word daily. We will be reading through the Book of Luke together and invite you to share how God is speaking each week. A reading schedule is available in the right-hand column.

CAREER CONNECTIONS
TUESDAYS @ 6:30PM IN PARKSIDE 4

With the recent downturn in the economy, many in our church family and community have experienced the struggle of losing jobs and financial security. Calvary Church wants to provide a place where we can help each other through this difficult time.

Career Connections meets on Tuesday evenings to meet the spiritual, emotional and practical needs of those in transition. Meetings include meeting in small groups to network with others in the area and practical, skill-building sessions with speakers on a variety of topics.

Journaling Tips:

Journaling is an excellent way to record and process what God has spoken to us.

Set aside a certain time in your schedule each day and find a quiet place to avoid disruptions.

Pray as you read God's Word. Ask him how it applies to your life. Record portions of the Scripture that impress you or any word God gives you in prayer.

Write freely. There is no right way to journal. List ideas about how to respond what you read, write a prayer, record your thoughts, note other relevant verses, or create your own method.

Look back on journals you have written and watch how you've grown through the process. Praise God for his answers to prayers along the journey.
