Set Up / Tear Down Crew. A new ministry at Calvary Church has begun. We would like to put together a team who could regularly assist with setting up rooms for events and rearrangings rooms afterwards. This set up / tear down crew would help our ministries run more smoothly. If interested, contact Jan Winters at jwinters@calvarylg.com.

HOUSE OF HOPE BRINGS TOGETHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS
Submitted by Matt Turner,
Pastor of Community Relations
One year ago, we never dreamed the ways that God would begin to work through the House of Hope. Pur-chased two years ago, the small
green building next to the Koinonia House wasn't much to look at. The
roof needed repair. The windows
were broken. The paint on the walls flaked and peeled.
Last fall, several workers from Calvary gave the home an overhaul, cleaning the interior and painting the walls, inside and out. During Beautiful Day, our church collected about 20,000 pounds of food to help families in crisis in Los Gatos in 2009, filling the storage area.
But the rest of the story is still to be written. Eight area rotary clubs, including Los Gatos, Campbell, Saratoga and others in west San Jose, have volunteered to take on the House of Hope as a rotary project. They will be joining Calvary Church and West Valley Community Services (WVCS) to remodel the interior of the house. Currently, they are designing new electric wiring and plumbing systems, planning to install new windows and a new roof, installing a new hydraulic lift to transport food from the basement to the kitche and reworking the floor plan to better serve the needs of local clients.
The Rotarians I have spoken with are really focused on making this project happen. One even said the following: “I grew up in Los Gatos. I know what this house was about for many years. For me, to be a part of redeeming this house for the community is an exciting project.”
Most of the preliminary design work has been completed and the rotaries are working on raising the funds needed to complete the project. WVCS has received a grant from the Federal Government and is currently working to apply those funds to the House of Hope renovation project. The funds were awarded shortly after the initial quote for the work was delivered. Amazingly, the amounts were exactly the same. One West Valley employee even said, "How did He (God) know the dollar amount we needed?"
It is very exciting to see God at work on Calvary’s campus. We look forward with anticipation to what He will do in the months and years to come!

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Good Friday, April 10
3-8pm Open House | Large Chapel
Last year's Stations of the Cross was such a success that Calvary Church is expanding it this year. On Friday, April 10th, Calvary will open up the Chapel Building with expanded hours and invite you to take a walk along Jesus’ side during his path to the cross. The experience is self-paced and designed to all participants to reflect on the final steps Jesus took, ending at the tomb and communion. Accoustical worship will be provided. Bring your children to experience the Path together. Good Friday Children's Programs will be available for Infants through 2nd Grade in the E-Building from 3-6pm. Infants-3 years old will meet in room E-105 and children 4 years through 2nd grade will meet in room E-106.
