Kids experience many of the painful adjustment to divorce that parents do, yet they are often unable to process them effectively. Often parents are overwhelmed with their own issues like court dates, finances, work pressures, and the emotional toll of a divorce to realize that their kids are hurting too. 
DivorceCare 4Kids is a proven curriculum used nationally in hundreds of churches and organizations. For 13 weeks, your kids will deal with all the major recovery projects including facing their anger, not blaming themselves and forgiveness. Classes include DVDs, crafts, games, and activities that make things fun. Cost is $20 per semester for one child and $30 per semester for 2+ children.

SHINING STARS RESPITE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
August 14th | 5pm - 9pm
Every other month, Shining Stars hosts a respite for children with special needs and their siblings. Shining Stars needs special "tenders" to love on these children and have fun with them for the evening. Star Tenders are needed for each child to receive the one-on-one attention he or she needs. No experience is needed. Nurses and trained staff are there to assist. If you can help, contact Joyce Roberts at 408-559-3337 or joyceconnection@aol.com.
