At Calvary guests are real people with real needs and we want to help them take their next step toward Christ together. YOUR impact also helps guests take another step in connecting with the Calvary Family. The time commitment is small but the impact is lasting. Join us this Sunday at 12:00pm in the Large Chapel for our Guest Experience Kick-off or stop by the Guest Experience table to sign up for a team. Lunch and childcare (room E105) is provided.

BUILDING LIVES: PLAYHOUSE CALVARY

Playhouse Calvary is an indoor playtime designed for kids ages 1-5 and their moms to connect in a fun, creative environment while the kids play. We need your help to make it a success. We need adults who don’t have young children to volunteer in our craft & reading rooms, welcome table and various other areas through out the year. If you are willing and able to help, please email Joy Yankey at jyankey@calvarylg.com or stop by our table outside this Sunday.

Guest Experience

CALVARY CHURCH WELCOMES LAURA SIZELOVE!

We are excited to welcome Laura Sizelove to our Calvary staff as our new Pastor of Children’s Ministries! One of Laura’s driving passions is seeing kids embrace a relationship with Jesus and then growing a vibrant and active faith. Laura is married to Jon and they have three kids: Mark (6), Rachel (4) and Andrew (2). She has a Master’s degree from Talbot Seminary and BA from Biola University. Jon teaches Bible at Valley Christian High School.

Laura brings with her a refreshing vision for Calvary Kids and further developing our all-star volunteers. Laura also possesses a variety of ministry experience including work with children’s ministry, with parents, and also in building bridges with the greater community. She is passionate about training volunteers and equipping them for effective ministry.

With Laura’s arrival on Calvary Staff, we are expanding leadership of this vital ministry. Laura will provide oversight of Calvary Kids (birth through 5th grade) and Joy Yankey will continue on our staff as Assistant Director of Children’s Ministries. Both will be partnering together to grow and deepen Calvary Kids in exciting ways. And both share an exciting vision for this fall as well as the year to come!

Backpack Drive

HELP SUPPORT OUR INDIA GO TEAM!
SEPTEMBER 25 from 9AM - 2PM

One of our most popular Go Team destinations is Little Flock Children’s Home in a rural village near Chennai. By request of the Little Flock Team, our team has been asked to come and offer a special Christmas program for the dozens of orphans who call this home. Team members will also have unique opportunities to connect with people (including the local school) throughout the village. Please help us raise funds to go to India by getting your car washed on Saturday, September 25th from 9am-2pm at Calvary Church. Thank you in advance for your support!

Are you new to Calvary? Are you ready to take the next step in your faith? Join Pastor Bob Thomasin this new and exciting setting as he leads and teaches our Become Workshop. Each workshops will be followed by a six-week small group with a great facilitator, where you will be able to continue to grow and learn what it means to be a TWO:6 Disciple.

Connect and build friendships with others! Sandwiches and chocolate bar will also be provided. Children's program is provided. Sign-up this Sunday at the Connecting Point or email Jan Winters at jwinters@calvarylg.com.
