At noon we will be offering two great lunch presentations focusing on topics that are being discussed around the globe: Islam and Europe. Join us in the Parkside Rooms of the Gym.

Both of these Global Staff members serve in the largely atheistic Eastern Europe and have a front-row seat to events unfolding around the continent. We hear about Europe in the news every day but the headlines are overwhelmingly negative: the debt crisis in Greece, problems throughout the Eurozone, record-high unemployment… is any hope left? John and Bob will offer hope—drawing upon their many firsthand experiences—of how God is at work in some amazing ways.

An estimated 2 billion people around the world consider themselves to be Muslim. Some consider Islam to be the fastest growing religion on the planet. Tensions between Christians and Muslims go back for centuries, and today is no exception. In the West there is generally a sense of fear and concern about Islam. Both of these Global Staff members serve in areas that are almost exclusively Muslim and have encouraging (many times surprising) reports of what God is doing in their midst. You’ll be inspired by what you hear!
