Dear Friends,
As the senior teaching pastor at Calvary Church, I am always amazed at the talent of people in our congregation. But what excited me more is when people in our family choose to use their talents and abilities for God.
At Calvary Church, we believe that everyone has the talent to serve and can be a champion in God's kingdom. We are here to help you discover that talent and get connected into a place where you can use your passions and interest in serving others.
Every month, we will provide what we feel are the top areas of need within our congregation. If your interests fit with any of these Top Picks, I encourage you to contact the person provided and get connected.
All of you are talented people and we believe that each one can make an impact in our church and community for God. I look forward to hearing about what God does through you in the upcoming months.

Groceries for the House of Hope
Last month, Calvary Church collected thousands of pounds of food to set up the "House of Hope," a food pantry for the Western Silicon Valley, right on our campus. The need for groceries - canned and packaged food will be ongoing, so throughout the holidays and into next year, Calvary will continue to accept food during this difficult season for many.To donate grocery, simply drop them by the church office. For more information, please call Matt Turner at 408.356.5126 or email mturner@calvarylg.com.
- Letting Go
- The needs in our community are growing. Each week, Calvary Church receives calls from individuals and families in dire need. This month, we are encouraging people in our family to sell some of their possessions - unused bikes, exercise equipment, or other items and donate the funds to Calvary Church's Letting Go project. Money received will help us meet the needs of many in our community. Let's continue to reach outside our walls to change lives for Jesus Christ!
Pet Assist Therapy Pets & People
- Calvary Church is beginning a new ministry to the elderly at the convalescent hospital and assisted-living facility. We are looking for animals who are good with people and people who are good with animals to volunteer to participate in Animal-Assisted Therapy. If you or your pet is interested in this ministry, please contact Nicole Bendemire at n.bendemire@gmail.com.
