Seder Dinner: The Messianic Meal
Thursday, March 28 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm in the Large Chapel
Dinner is included for $15 per person. Space is limited.
To help God’s people remember the defining moment of their Exodus from Egypt, He ties it to a meal called the Passover and commands them to celebrate this story each year. The significance of this meal is highlighted on the night Jesus was betrayed as he gathered together with his closest friends to celebrate the Passover. Jesus will set the context of his life, teaching, mission, the cross and His resurrection in the Seder meal.
As Christians we don’t typically tie what we know as “communion” to the grand narrative of God’s deliverance of His people from the slavery of Egypt. We have a disconnect between the story we read in the Bible and the Tic-Tac sized crumb and the thimble of grape juice we wander up to take once-a-month. Our hope is to create a memorable moment that will forever change how we celebrate communion every month, by experiencing a Seder Dinner together.
