Elements of a Disciple

God wants to use you. His desire is to speak to you, guide you, and build His Kingdom through you. It begins by spending time with Him in His Word and in prayer. As you do, he will reveal where he’s calling you to go deeper. As you read through the elements below, we encourage you to ask God to show you where he wants you to take a step.

Spending time with God

Deepening our relationship with God by interacting with His Word and having regular conversation with Him

Engaging in weekly church gatherings

Experiencing God's presence in a unique way when we worship alongside other believers

Giving back to God financially

Acknowledging our resources are from God because they were never ours to begin with; out of obedience and worship, we give back to God from what He has given to us

Living life alongside other believers

Seeking relationships that create opportunities for mutual spiritual growth, inspiration and encouragement

Welcoming spiritual mentorship and mentoring others

Inviting an intentional relationship where someone can speak Biblical truth into our lives and prayerfully speaking Biblical truth, wisdom and encouragement into someone else’s life

Loving our neighbors as ourselves

Practicing God's love for people by caring for those around us

Serving our church

Following Jesus’ example of service and giving our time and talent to what God is doing through His church

Serving in our community

Paying attention to where God has placed us, and what we're involved in and looking for opportunities for Him to use us there

Serving globally

Participating in what God is already doing and bringing the Good News of God's Kingdom to all nations by praying, giving and going

Sharing our faith

Being equipped and ready to share the truth of the Gospel of Jesus at any time

As you seek God to hear his guidance on where he’s calling you to take a step, we encourage you to spend 15 minutes with Him, every day, for a week. Ask him how he wants to use you, what action he wants you to take. He may be calling you to give, serve, pray, study his word more. We can almost guarantee he’ll want to spend more time with you because he loves you so. We know God is looking for available hearts. Will you accept his invitation and step in?
