November 2025 Update

Summary

The Elders have approved beginning the formal design and review process—which will finalize plans with our partners over the coming months—positioning us to move forward wisely with construction and the property sale while staying aligned with our core themes.

Full Update

Over the past month, our Elders have been prayerfully reviewing different scenarios and sequencing options for planning, funding, and construction. This week, the Elder Board unanimously approved two important next steps:

  1. Begin the Architecture and Site Design Review process immediately.

  2. Begin the Chapel and Family Life Center building-permit design and review process as the capacity of our teams and partners allows.

What this means

The design and review phase takes the drawings we’ve already shared and develops them to a level that can be used for construction planning, formal bidding, and town review. This is an integrated process that involves all of our partners: architects, contractors, the Town, and Calvary.

Teams of qualified Calvary members will be formed to engage with these partners at different stages, ensuring representation, diverse perspectives, and collaboration throughout.

Given the number of variables and the availability of our partners, this phase could take up to nine months. When it is complete, we will have everything in place to move forward, at our discretion, with both the property sale and construction.

Project philosophy

The Elders spent significant time articulating a project philosophy that will guide our teams and contracted partners through the design process.

Our project philosophy is centered on the desire to accomplish the project we’ve presented in a way that stays as closely aligned to our core themes as possible and stewards every dollar given with great care.

The teams entrusted with advising the design, construction, and programming phases will continually evaluate options through the lens of value; how each decision accomplishes our core themes and ministry impact.

Our project leads are already coordinating schedules and aligning the right people so this process can move forward as soon as possible.

What you can do

  • Pray for wisdom and endurance for the teams as they navigate the many details and decisions ahead.

  • Pray for our partners - architects, contractors, and town officials - that we would work together with clarity, kindness, and creativity.

  • Pray that Jesus would be known even in this design and development phase, and that the Holy Spirit would breathe beauty, order, and kingdom purpose into every part of the project.

  • Pray our focus and commitment to established church priorities and ministry continue to grow and thrive in parallel with this project.

  • Give to the Campus Development Fund our desire remains that 100% of us participate in the launch gift; each person giving their best gift toward the future of our campus. We want every single person to be able to say with joy and ownership, “I was a part of that.”  Give now by clicking here.
